05 Understand the Programme

This programme develops practical competence in systematic hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control. It helps participants evaluate workplace activities, assess the likelihood and severity of harm, identify opportunities for improvement and select controls using the hierarchy of controls.

Participants work through practical HIRARC exercises so they can document risks consistently, prioritise action and review controls when conditions, processes or legal requirements change.
