Course Introduction

This CQI/IRCA-accredited ISO 45001 Lead Auditor course is delivered in partnership with SEQM (UK). It equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to conduct and lead first, second, and third-party OH&S audits in line with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021.

Through interactive sessions, case studies, role plays, and mock audits, participants will gain hands-on auditing experience and prepare for the IRCA online exam.

Day 1–2

  1. ISO 45001:2018 framework, principles & benefits.
  2. Accreditation & certification processes (UKAS, IRCA).
  3. Health & safety fundamentals, hazards, and risk assessment.
  4. Safe systems of work, workplace hazards, and control measures.

Day 3

  1. ISO 45001 clauses (Context, Leadership, Planning, Support, Operation).
  2. Emergency preparedness & response.
  3. Performance evaluation, improvement & continual improvement.
  4. Audit principles, roles & responsibilities.

Day 4

  1. Audit process: initiation, planning, conducting, reporting & closure.
  2. Audit programme management.
  3. Practical exercises & role-play audits.

Day 5

  1. Interview techniques & effective communication.
  2. Evidence gathering & reporting non-conformities.
  3. Auditor competence & professional conduct.
  4. Mock audit, exam preparation & course revision.
  5. Final IRCA online exam (to be taken within 30 days).
